Korean Ginseng is standardized to 7% ginsenosides. Ginsenosides are steroid-like phytochemicals that have adaptogenic properties. The glycosides act on the adrenal glands helping to prevent adrenal hypertrophy and excess corticosteroid production in response to stress. Ginsenosides increase protein synthesis and activity of neurotransmitters in the brain. Ginseng stimulates the formation of blood vessels and improves blood circulation in the brain, thereby improving memory and cognitive abilities. Ginseng is also used for diabetes, migraine, to aid in sleep, and to stimulate the appetite.*
