THis product really- REALLY - helps me to breath better- just 20 minutes after taking it, I can feel a slight, but significant relief/relax of lung/bronchial area. I don't know why- but I found it recommended for this from an old naturopathic book. My friend tried it and she noticed that it helped also, she was very thankful to find it. The air is polluted here with pesticides among normal city/seasonal pollution , and we both see a definite difference. I like to have it on hand for breathing. Also, if taken too much at once might cause a slight loose stool effect, but that didn't bother enough to not use, and I only noticed once, so it is a very slight side effect occasionally. (I take 1-2 at a time for breathing) Great product! PS: the NOW product of NAC also will thin phlegm and help sinus/lung clear out.
