April 15, 2009 Reviewer: Ken in Connecticut NOW's glutamine powder is awesome. One of the properties of glutamine is that it is a cell volumizer. It works like creatine and when I work out I get an incredible pump. I take 5 grams, usually before a workout and at bedtime. Occasionally I make take another 5 g's if I drink a protein shake during the day. Creatine has other benefits such as reducing cortisol and nitrogen loss.
