Nature's Way
Lactase Enzyme
Nature's Way Lactase Enzyme is derived from Aspergillus oryzae in a base of neutral maltodextrin.
Chemists have estimated that between 5% and 75% of food eaten is digested by the enzymes that naturally occur in the food itself. The body relies on this help to reduce the amount of energy dependent digestive processes it must use. Modern storage, transportation, and cooking methods destroy most of these valuable plant enzymes. In addition, poor dietary choices, too much fat and sugar place a burden on digestion that the digestive system may not be able to handle. Lifestyle may further complicate the situation so that digestive complaints are one of the most common. When food is improperly digested, particles pass into the bloodstream resulting in immune system activation. Scientists have shown that food enzymes may be inactivated in the stomach but are reactivated in the alkaline environment of the intestines.
Lactase is an enzyme necessary to digest the milk sugar lactose. 70% of the world's population, have difficulty in digesting dairy products. Symptoms include gas, bloating, intestinal discomfort, cramps and/or diarrhea after eating dairy products With all-natural lactase enzyme you can enjoy dairy foods again, everyday, without discomfort.
