This product should be called High Protein Rubbish. It is loaded with sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Hydrogenated oils and 1 lousy gram of fiber. I guess I expected the protein to be baked into the cereal somehow, but instead I got sugary cereal with protein powder at about $2 a bowl. What a rip off! If I wanted this garbage, I could buy a big bag of generic cereal and mix it with a scoop of whey protein powder and water for a fraction of the price for the same result. Thanks for the idea though- I will just add a scoop of whey protein to an organic high fiber cereal for a healthy, balanced, quick meal.
I was about ready to order this product after reading about it until I saw the ingredient list. I am getting extremely tired of companies using high fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oils. I wouldn't take this for free. Why do they continually ruin a product with such great potential?
Ingredients: Cereal (rice, sugar, cocoa (treated with alkali), semisweet chocolate (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, artificial flavoring), salt, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (one or more of: coconut, cottonseed and soybean) high fructose corn syrup, calcium carbonate, malt flavoring, artificial flavor, ascorbic acid and sodium ascorbate (vitamin C), niacinamide, iron, zinc oxide, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), riboflavin (vitamin B2), thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1), vitamin A palmitate, folic acid, vitamin B12 and vitamin D, bht (preservative)), whey protein isolate, nonfat dry milk, potassium chloride, natural and artificial flavor,, sucralose.
Recommended Use: Directions: Pour contents of 1 packet into a bowl. Add 4-5 ounces of cold water or milk. With a spoon, gently mix contents of bowl together until powder is dissolved (about 10-30 seconds).
Warning: Contains Milk and Rice. Made on equipment that also manufactures products containing wheat.
