These brownies are wonderful; not overly sweet but chewy and satisfying. A must to have in the pantry for when a "chocolate attack" occurs!

Big Train makes a lot of great products. I have teenage girls & when we all crave something chocolate, these brownies definitely do the trick! They are great substitutes for the Duncan Heinz that we used to get.

Excellent! I absolutely LOVE these. Will be buying lots more. So easy to make - just and egg and stick of butter. HOWEVER I melted a block of Philly Cream Cheese with 2 packets of Splenda and mixed in the top layer of the brownie mix before putting in the oven. I baked for 15 minutes.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! This is the best product I've found for a "brownie fix" since going low carb. Even my husband loved them & he's not on the low carb train! Easy to make, a great value for the money compared to the Dixie Diner version (which, by the way, is awful), yummy taste, excellent brownie texture. I would proudly serve these to anyone. My highest recommendation.

Well for low carb you can't beat the flavor! I added some Soy nuts and chocolate low carb sauce and some added sugar free maple for a Caramel affect. If you like rich Brownies, then this is for you!

This brownie mix is awesome! I used 1/2 a stick of butter and two eggs as opposed to the stated directions, and they turned out wonderfully. I topped a brownie with a scoop of sugar-free vanilla ice cream and cherries and went to cloud nine!

| Wow, I am a great baker and make my own brownies, but my husband recently had a 4 way by pass operation, and I have to change some things for the better. Yes, we have sweet tooth's. CAN YOU SAY THESE THINGS ARE THE BEST? THEY ARE JUST GREAT. WONDERFUL TASTING, TEXTURE AND MOIST.
I do different things to makes them just a bit better, such as my favorite coffee cream. I add a little bit of that to the mixture. Also, just a little bit of something in these brownies adds so much to the already great taste. I melt a little bit of light cream cheese with the coffee cream of my choice and oh my gosh, these are the best tasting brownies, and I mean this. So rich and chocolate. You cannot go wrong with these brownies. If you are some one who has to watch your weight, or a diabetic or have to watch a heart healthy diet, please buy a lot of these, you will be happy you did and so will your stomach. |

An excellent product!! The Big Train Chocolate Chip brownie mix is great! I am an experienced high-carb and low-carb baker, and these meet even my high standards. I keep a package on hand for days when I just don't feel like baking from scratch. The only flaw, and it is a very, very minor one: the directions say to melt the butter until it is "creamy". I wasn't sure if they meant to soften the butter, or to melt it completely. So I melted it halfway. (Butter is made from cream. To make it "creamy" you'd have to go back in time :-) ). They meant "Melt the butter."

I really liked these brownies. I think I cooked them too long though. They looked doughy in the middle when the timer went off so I cooked them longer and they came out crumbly. So I think you should just follow the directions and if they look doughy they are probably okay. I am going to try these again. The flavor is great!

This is the best chocolate treat that you could ask for on the low carb diet. I LOVE them so much. Super easy to fix and takes no time flat, like 15 minutes. The only bad part is they are so good I want to eat them all at one time!

This is by far the best Brownie Mix we have found, and believe me, we have tried lots. It is very moist and has lots of chocolate chips. Most of the other brands we have tried are more like cake, but not this one. If you are a true Brownie lover like we are, you will love Big Train Chocolate Chip Brownie Mix.

Every time I make these brownies, all my friends eat them up. I have a blood sugar disorder and have to avoid the carbs, but my friends can have whatever they want. THEY LOVE THESE BROWNIES and keep saying, "I can't believe they are sugar free!!!" Get your package now! I add a second egg for really moist brownies. Also don't forget the walnuts to increase the protein. Thanks BIG TRAIN!

Wooo hoooo!!!! Ok.... I've tried at least 3 different LC (homemade) recipes I found on a variety of websites for rich, fudgey brownies and thrown them all away. Some were just down-right disgusting. Then, I tried Big Train's mix as a last ditch effort to find a GOOD LC substitute. WOW WOW WOW!! I FOUND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. These are dense, rich, and the best by far when you want a brownie! Easy to throw together and just wait to smell that sweet, cocoa aroma in your kitchen!! I've even frosted them with a LC cream cheese based chocolate frosting I made. Either dressed or undressed - they're really chocolatey and satifying to that Nasty Sweet Tooth. I'm so glad to know I don't have to give up hope.

These brownies are great! I have a an extreme sweet tooth so I added 1 extra tablespoon of Sugar Twin and 1/4 cup of heavy cream and pecan pieces, mixed well and baked an additional 10 minutes. Couldn't tell the difference between these and the high-carb brownies. Even my picky 7 year old grandson ate them!

| I'll give this low carb product a 5-rating also. It is a
delicious version of high carb-high fat brownies without
the 'consequences'. Plus, I love the fact that the product
is maltitol-free! What a bonus. I would recommend adding
some additional sweetener (like liquid splenda or sf
caramel) to kick it up a notch for variety. Maybe a few
nuts too... The combinations could be endless. |

I made these brownies yesterday. I added a little more Splenda to the batter, along with vanilla extract & heavy cream to thin it up somewhat. They baked up very good! I will most definitely order these again because they were tasty! However, I have a issue with the carbs per serving. If they could keep the same taste, but less carbs per serving. =}

I enjoyed the brownies. The mix was easy to use and you didn't need to add many things. The brownies satisfied my chocolate cravings, though they weren't chewy as regular brownies. They also worked well when I swirled some peanut butter in the mix. I wouldn't recommend frosting them because they fell apart more than regular brownies.

I, too, thought 1 stick of butter was too much - I used 1/2 stick of butter plus about 1/4 cup water. Problem was, I tried doing a "cheesecake" layer on top (cream cheese, egg, stevia, erythritol, and 2 Tbsp Carbalose flour), and the mild sweetness of the cheesecake really made this brownie taste BITTER! I love bittersweet chocolate, so I don't think that was the problem. Perhaps their inulin had too much of whatever makes chicory bitter. When the brownie is on its own, the bitterness probably helps make the chocolate flavor "deeper". Based on these reviews, I'm going to try one more bag, but add some LC sweetener and no topping.

Like another reviewer, I bought two packages of these brownies. The first made according to instructions came out bitter and 15 minutes was not enough time in the oven. I probably baked them 40 minutes and they were still mushy. Had to refrigerate before eating. I followed another's advice on this site and altered ingredients to the 2nd batch (2 eggs, 1/2 stick butter, 1/3 cup water, 1/2 cup Splenda and some peanut butter, baked 30 minutes). Texture good and cakelike but I had terrible problems with flatulence from the sugar alcohol. Don't eat these before going in public! For that reason and the fact you have to add so much to make them palatable and the price, I don't recommend them.

Wow, these were REALLY awful when I made them by following the recipe on the back of the package. I questioned adding an entire stick of butter, and sure enough, the end result was a butter-flavored, salty, bitter-tasting, non-sweetened disappointment. Plus the batter was like stiff cookie dough and hard to spread in the pan! I had ordered 2 packages of the stuff, so decided to give it another try. This time I added 2 eggs, 1/2 stick of butter, 1/2 cup of water AND 1/2 cup of Splenda. It was now a pourable batter and I baked it for 30 minutes. Much better, they actually taste sweet now as the Splenda cut that bitter cocoa flavor they had before. I won't order this again, they are not worth the expense -but I wanted to use what I had already paid for.
